Working on layouts

Probably the hardest job in all of this is laying out the squares and figuring out how to put it all together.  I did not put these up on my hanging working board as I worked so was a little afraid I'd have too much of one color or too many of the same type of things clumped together. So despite my initial sketches and the like to the floor we go to figure it out!

Bebe and AIR quilt Update - Final squares

So a few final blocks to finish up and I'm trying to figure out the right layout for all the blocks before I sew it all together.  I've decided to try quilting as you go to bind it following THIS youtube demo.
AIR's quilt would not be complete without something with a nod to The Phantom of The Opera.  Designed by Michelle Thompson for this project

The Cornish Pixie came out right before I had gotten to the end.  I love how this one turned out, but learned the lesson in needing to differentiate with more contrast because my colors really blended too much.

My first (and only to date) pattern.  Try as I might i could not find any polar bear patterns, so I printed off a picture I found via google, and made this little guy.  He was so sad and woebegone I just love him.

Sherlock's violin (which was handy since she loves Sherlock and she plays violin, and more paint tubes.

Bebe quilt progress

There are just not enough hours in the day!  I think I'm on the final leg of Bebe's quilt, a few more from this week.  Now if I can just get the layouts right and bind them.

AIR's multifandom update

So life happened, and I find myself rushing now to get my ducks in a row - Here's more of AIR's quilt for Christmas.

One of the first non-Harry related pieces.  I wasn't as attentive to the exact nature needed to line things up properly, but it came together.

Jack Sparrow is another of those pay attention patterns!  (see that left cheek where it meets the hair?  Yeah I actually went back and fixed it after assembling this whole block - I'll have to find the fix it picture)

Homage to Sherlock

Another Amazing pattern made by Michelle Thompson for this project!  Isn't she amazing!  The original pattern just has her sitting on her broom, so I drew in the block below (which was pretty easy).

Totoro - Another Michelle Thompson Pattern - He is everything wonderful!
